To be eligible for an academic scholarship, an applicant must take our Scholarship Exam. This year, the Scholarship Exam was held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 9:00 AM.
Merit-Based Scholarship Information:To
obtain a merit-based academic scholarship at Xavier, a 9th grade
applicant must be an "A" student in middle school, score in the top 7%
locally on the TACHS or COOP, and take the following steps:
- Complete the Application for Admission form and have a middle school teacher complete the Teacher Recommendation form and have both documents mailed to Xavier before December 1, 2009.
- Take the Xavier Scholarship Exam on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 9:00 AM.
Once
received, there is no renewal application to maintain the scholarship.
However, the student must uphold at least a 90 average to maintain the
scholarship.
Xavier High School offers the following awards, granted over four years:
- Xavier Scholarship (~$45,000 overfour years)
- Loyola Scholarship (~$33,000 overfour years)
- Larkin Scholarship (~$22,400 overfour years)
- Presidents Scholarship (~$11,200over four years)
